Do you have a high school diploma or equivalent? Are you currently
working or desirous of a challenging career in the HVAC &
refrigeration industry? Then you may apply! We require you
provide documented work experience for proper classification,
and you may be asked to take a no-fail placement test. But
whether you're a skilled journeyman or new to the trade, there's
a place for you with one of our many union contractors.

You will find it at The James W. Kellogg Training Center.
Local Union 342 and the union contractors have always made
it top priority to provide quality training at no cost to
our journeymen and apprentices. Graduates of the five-year
apprentice training program can continue their education through
journeyman certification courses. With all of this quality
training available it's no wonder our members are considered
the most talented and well-respected technitians and craftsmen
in the HVAC & refrigeration industry.

James W. Kellogg Training CenterOur apprentices attend classes
two nights a week for five years. All courses run from September
through May, and are conveniently scheduled during the evening.
With quality instructors, our courses incorporate theoretical
and textual study with hands-on and on-the-job experience.
Graduates of this rigorous training program acquire a level
of expertise few in the industry can match.

Journeymen Certification Program
Many HVAC & Refrigeration mechanics claim to be knowledgeable
of the trade, but only a select few can substantiate the claim
with certification from the Journeymen Certification Program
offered to members of Local Union 342. Certification courses
are offered from September through May and are conveniently
scheduled during the evening.
